Is there anything like the iPad, like another tablet computer (that actually works)?

I'm not the biggest fanboy of Apple, and I see the iPad as basically a giant iTouch/iPhone. I know, not entirely accurate, but I don't want to shell out that much money for a bigger toy. I know HP was creating the Slate (still in progress last I heard), Microsoft started on the Courier (hella cool, but deep-sixed), and there's some crappy one out there that's sold like 400 units. Those are not what I want to hear about. Thanks! =)
