ASA 5500 firewall question?

Anyone know why ASA 5500 Cisco is really slow in the day time to the point where Internet not able to display a web page. I know it's not the modem problem cause when I plug in the laptop directly to the modem I still able to go anywhere on the net with fast connection. Only happen about mid afternoon. Any ideas..
