Should i stay or should i go?

i have a boyfriend of 3 years we have talked about getting a house together and getting married he say's he loves me and would do anything for me. so i text him last night (lets go to reno this weekend and tie the knot) he texts me back "yes i will marry you but i need more time maby we should evaluate our situation " what do you get out of that? I think i should move on but as you know these things are hard to do after you've been together for such a long time. so tell me what i already know just want confirmation.need to here it from other people
